The torrone contains protein (mandorle and uova), 7 of 9 essential amino acids, antioxidants, essential grasses (mainly insaturi grasses, similar to olive oil), carbohydrates (sourced from honey and sugar) and vitamin A, E, B1, B2,.

The origins of “Jijona Castle” 1963
“EL CASTILLO DE JIJONA, SA” has its origins in the union of Josè Jacinto Lopez Ramosa and Juan Antonio Ramos Gisbert, who are always dedicated to the street sales of torrone and dolci in the festival and the celebration with Luis Cortes Ramos.
In September 1963, a 230 m2 building was built, in which the first factory was designed to respond to the important product needs.

“THE CASTLE OF JIJONA, SA”

Prime exports and expansion 1982


In 1982 the company came into contact with “LA CIBELES, INC.” In New Jersey, distributor of various Spanish products, beginning to create one of the largest supermarket chains in Florida, “Sedano's supermarkets”. This was the beginning of the sale of “EL CASTILLO DE JIJONA” in the USA and the beginning of the company's sports.


In 1989 the export began in Messico, in 1991 the export began, with volumes always growing in negli years, in one of the most prestigious supermarket chains in Argentina.
